Why ERP?

The designation ‘ERP’ means for Enterprise Resource Planning. This term is being used for software that supports all processes within the company. That’s why an ERP-suite often is called an ‘enterprise management system’.
Whereby in the past most departments of companies used their own software applications for supporting their business activities, an ERP-suite combines all these different software applications. Data such as parts, quotations, contracts, etc. have to be inserted in the central database only once and can be re-used everywhere on the workfloor. Every employee can access the most actual data from an early stage to the final stadium. An ERP-suite can offer a lot of advantages, such as a more efficient way of work, better communications / transfer of information and a significant cost reduction.

Is it possible to purchase single modules?

Yes, beside the several bundles it’s possible to start with a single module. From here the software can grow simultaneously with the desires of the company.

Is it possible that multiple users can use 1 license?

Yes, in ConstruSteel it’s possible that multiple users make use of 1 license. It’s not possible that the users are using 1 license simultaneously. The number of licenses are set per module. When a single module is used, then it’s still possible that another person can work with the remaining modules, so the entire program won’t be blocked.

How is the ERP software installed within the company?

The installation of a single ConstruSteel-module is very easy and the company can do this by itself.
There is a minimal installation time for ConstruSteel, because the installation program is combined with a clear installation manual. Our helpdesk can give telephonic or online support when it’s needed. It’s also possible that we provide the installation or training at location, this is against an additional price. We recommend to plan installation, instruction and implementation support at location, when multiple modules are purchased.

What is duration of the implementation?

The implementation is different for every single company, because there are differences between companies and the purchased software. Software can be installed manually when a single module is purchased and guidance is possible when it is necessary. The implementation for the entire company management system takes normally 5 days for guidance with a consultant.

What are the possibilities for obtaining a subsidy?

We recommend to check in your own country the possibilities for obtaining a subsidy, because there are often possiblities toe get subsidy for education in software.

What kind of support can I expect when the software is installed and implemented?

There is a possibility for making a maintenance contract. The costs for such a contract do depend on the amount that is invested in the software. The maintenance contract does include the latest versions of the software and support from our helpdesk.

Can I import my current relations into ConstruSteel?

Yes, it’s possible to import current relations from Outlook, Excel, etcetera into ConstruSteel. This can be done in ConstruSteel by pressing one button.

Is it possible to see the ‘scoring chance’ for a prospect inside Quotation Management?

Yes, in ConstruSteel it’s very simple to generate overviews that will show for each relation the orders that are received and quotations that haven been rejected, with the associated amounts.

Is it possible to track for multiple calculators the date’s that offers have to be published?

ConstruSteel has an integrated calendar that offers the possibility of showing for multiple users the deadlines on a specific day.

Is it possible to make multiple cost estimation under the same offer number?

Yes, there can be made different sub-offers and it’s also possible to offer a number of alternatives to the same cost estimation.

Is it possible to estimate with pricelists, that have been published in the past?

Yes, the history of pricelists for each supplier is available in ConstruSteel. This makes it possible to estimate with different pricelist, so a comparison can be made between the current pricelist and a pricelist that has been published in the past.

Is it possible to calculate with variable scrap surcharge?

When the supplier hasn’t processed the scrap surcharge in the pricelist, then it’s possible in ConstruSteel to do a manual setup for the scrap surcharge that can vary for each project.

Does the software take the holidays into account for determining the capacity?

Yes, holidays are determined at employee level and subtracted on the capacity. Also other absences such as illness and leave days will be processed in the capacity. Another unique feature is that employees that are just employable for 50% will be processed in the capacity on their employability.

Is it possible to create lists and standardised documents in ConstruSteel?

By using the integrated document manager you can make different document templates, which can be used in the entire package.

Is it possible to connect an attachment to an quotation or project?

Yes, every single file that is digital available can be connected to an quotation or project by ‘drag & drop’. This can be for example an e-mail, Word doc’s, Excel sheets, Drawings or photo’s.

What are the possibilities of the financial module?

Construsoft has decided to link ConstruSteel to existing financial software, instead of developing an own financial module. Currently most organizations are using financial software, that’s why ConstruSteel has chosen to integrate with such an package or financial software supplier. Another reason for integrating with an existing financial software supplier is the diversity in financial legislation between countries. ConstruSteel can integrate with the financial software package, that is used in a specific country.

AccountView is an example for an integrated solution in England, Germany and Holland. A standardized intelligent cross-link ensures the integration between the two programs. The advantage of this integration is that the user on the one hand can use all the branch specific knowledge and experience of ConstruSteel and on the other hand all the possibilities of a full grown modular financial program.
