These are the winners of the Construsoft BIM Awards

The winners of the Construsoft BIM Awards are announced. In different categories the winners are selected by public votes. Winners were selected from the competing countries of Poland, Czech and the Benelux.
The public had the difficult task to vote for their favorite projects from over 40 submissions. We congratulate all winners and thank all companies that submitted a model. Via the link below all winners can be viewed, also in Tekla BIMsight!

Just to give some insights in the great variety of the submitted projects, a random few are mentioned below. We highly recommend to visit the Construsoft BIM Awards webpage to view all projects!

One of the winners was the London City Island, submitted by Hurks delphi engineering and Hurks prefabbeton, both from the Netherlands. The London City Island project is a residential development which will ultimately comprise the construction of 10 residential buildings containing over 1700 apartments and up to 27 stories in height.

A winner in the category Public projects is the Park bridge from Stendess from Belgium. The bridge weighs 170 tons and is meant to be a beautiful gateway to the city of Antwerp. The whole structure 67 meter structure is placed during only one weekend.

Another example of a winner is the Nesset Flerbruks Hall submitted by Constravia from Poland. The hall includes a playing surface (23 x 44m), climbing wall, grandstand, locker / social space, warehouse, control room and lift. The Tekla BIMsight-model of the structure gives a great overview of the project.

This year, several student models were submitted as well. For example, the team of students that submitted the project Lodz City Gate, overcame several challenges. Luckily, Tekla BIMsight made it easy to avoid, check and communicate collisions with the structure (and installations).

Another winner comes from Czech and the project Bolt Tower from Excon is now the highest point of the city Ostrava. The glass cylinder shaped superstructure will serve as an observation tower with multifunctional spaces. One can follow guided tours through the core of the former blast furnace in the height of 55 meters, have a coffee at the cafe 62 meters above the ground, visit a club at 66 meters or observe the city and mountains around from the view terrace positioned on the roof of the 71 meter tall construction.
